Vintage Twitter Logo Poster in Pixelmator

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to create stylish vintage Twitter Logo Poster in Pixelmator. We will mix various photos and blend modes to achieve the effect.

Step 1

First open a new document in Pixlemator. For size I’m using 1000×800 px.

 

Step 2

Go to Layer > New Layer > Choose Picture… and take Postage Stamp picture. After that transform it like the image below:

Step 3

Take the Magic Wand Tool and denote Postage Stamp background, then go to Edit > Fill and choose light color, I’m using #ecead5. After that go to Filter > Stylize > Noise… and set the Amount to 5.0%. Now go to Edit > Deselect All.

 

Step 4

Go to Layer > New Layer > Choose Picture… and pick up Twitter Logo picture, then go to Edit > Transform and transform logo as shown below. After that go to Filter > Stylize > Noise… and set the Amount to 5.0%.

Step 5

Add a new picture layer and choose Post Stamp picture, after that transform it (Edit > Transform…). Now you should have the same as below:

 

Step 6

Go to Layer > New Layer > Choose Picture… and take Paper Texture photo. Now choose Postage Stamp layer and take the Magic Wand Tool, denote Postage Stamp background, then pick Old Paper Texture layer, after that go to Edit > Invert Selection.

 

Step 7

Erase everything with Eraser Tool, then go to Edit > Deselect All. Change Blending to Multiply and set the Opacity to 75%. When we are done you should have something like in picture below:
