Cheshire Cat in Pixelmator

About couple years ago I watched Alice in Wonderland. The movie was really good, but the most admiring thing to me was Cheshire Cat. That is why I decided to create Cheshire Cat with Pixelmator. (:

Step 1

Open Pixelmator and create a new document, I used 2000×1800 pixels. Fill the backround layer with black color. Select the Elipse Shape Tool and create this form.

Step 2

Go to Layer > Convert into Pixels. Then go to Edit > Load Selection. With Gradient Tool fill the Layer with blue color.

Step 3

In step 3 you also go to Edit > Load Selection. Add a new Layer and fill with black color. Then go to Filter > Stylize > Noise. Use 70% for Amount and select Monochrome. Change the Blending to Subtract.

Step 4

Go to Filter > Blur > Zoom Blur and use 40.7 px for the Amount. Then go to Filter > Distortion > Bump Distortion. Use 380 px for the Radius and 47% for the Scale.

Step 5

Add a new Layer. With Elliptical Marquee Tool create an oval and fill with black color.

Step 6

Group all Layers exept Background Layer. Go to Layer > Duplicate Group. Then go to Edit > Flip Horizontal and put it by.

Step 7

With Brush Tool add a point and change the Opacity to 70%. Do the same thing with the other eye.

Step 8

With Pen Tool create some teeth and add shadows as well.

Step 9

Using the same technique, create other teeth.
