Retro Triangular Pattern Design in Pixelmator

This is very easy to crete this pattern and you really should try it!

Step 1

Open Pixelmator and create a new document. For size I’m using 1000x1200px. After that go to Filter > Generator > Checkboard for Primary Color use white and for Secondary color use blue. For Width I’m using about 85px and for Sharpness use 100%.

Step 2

Now with Pen Tool make diagonal lines like in picture below. For Stroke use 1px.

Step 3

Now convert shape layer into pixels, after that select booth layers and go to Layer > Merge Layers. Then fill the triangles with colors you like. In halfway job it should look like that:

When you fill all triangles it should look like that:

Step 5

Now go to Layer > New Layer > Choose picture… and open up texture file. Then transform like in picture below:

Step 6

After that just change Blending to Soft Light and Opacity to 80%.
